Newborn sessions in the comfort of your home. We offer two options here: We photograph you as a family, interacting and connecting with each other. Keepsake images of babies room, toys etc are included. We also offer a “small studio” setup for styled pics of baby.

This type of shoot is of your newborn is a styled scene, for eg: wrapped in beautiful textures, in a basket etc. For this type of shoot, I will bring a mini studio to your home with various textures, wraps, hats etc. and photograph your newborn using these textures. This shoot typically happens within the first 10 days of baby being born.

With the lifestyle option, I will not create a set up for your newborn, but rather photograph baby, mum and family in your environment, for eg: in the cot, in mum’s arms, on playmat etc. Hence this shoot being more “lifestyle” in orientation. This type of shoot can be done at any time and does not necessarily need to happen within the first 2 weeks of the birth.

Being a mum myself, I know how life changing a new baby is. In my experience, I find that mum and baby are most comfortable at home. Everything for baby is at hand, feeding and changing is easier as well.

The shoot can take anywhere between 1-2 hours. As babies are unpredictable, require feeding, changing etc, I have a relaxed time frame here. This takes pressure off mum feeling the pressure of time to get get those beautiful images.

This is absolutely par for the course and the reason why I love children so much. For these type of shoots, my teaching experience comes very much in handy as I love relating to kiddies and getting involved in their world. Kids will be kids at the end of the day and we want to capture them, as they are.
